Explore Rangitahi
Rangitahi is located in close proximity to the Raglan township and is one of the most unique developments in New Zealand. As the Rangitahi community continues to grow, what is emerging among this diverse collective is a shared passion for the outdoors and that all important notion of balance and intentional living. The tranquil harbour estuary reaches out to the Tasman Sea and hugs our peninsula with its diverse sections available to both permanent residents and weekend holiday makers alike.
The peninsula has been mapped out to include 7 different precincts that cover 117 hectares of land. With 14km of walking tracks planned around the peninsula, you’ll be taken from the bush to the sea in just footsteps from your home. Enjoy the results of extensive planting of native flora and fauna that has made the native bird population flourish, and also our community fruit trees that are dotted around the peninsula, including a table-grape vineyard, fig and apple grove, an avocado orchard, and olive grove.
Community recreational facilities have been planned to include a tennis court, basketball court, indoor pool and a playground. There will also be some small and larger commercial spaces developed including a café and a childcare facility.

Walking Tracks
The Peninsula offers impressive 14km of walking tracks, primarily weaving along the water’s edge, ideal for a quick dip or to launch your kayak or SUP.
The network of tracks connect through the various subdivision stages, to the community orchards and wellness centre. Gentle slopes with limestone pebbles and grass underfoot, this is a great way to take in all the sights of the peninsula and its surroundings.
Pack a picnic as you will likely find some stunning corners that invite you to pull in and enjoy the view for a while. Dogs are also welcome, on a lead.
Activities
Our brand new recreational courts, an astro-turf tennis court and half basketball court, are open to our residents and visitors. Bring your gear and enjoy a hit-around overlooking the Opotoru estuary.
Been wanting to try Frisbee Golf? We have six holes dotted around the Peninsula. Grab your friends and family and get set to have some fun.
Swimming Pool
We are thrilled to bring the long awaited, indoor community pool to the peninsula. As a coastal town we recognise the importance of having access to both a swimming pool and swim lessons. We are excited to share that we have certified swimming education available in the 10m x 10m learning pool.
For the athletes, surfers and water enthusiasts alike, we have five, 25m lanes available. This brand new facility offers changing rooms, showers, reception and an additional 180sqm gym room.
Follow us on social media for the official opening date.
Orchards
Community and sustainability have been core values of the Peacocke family since the peninsula’s early inception. While an extensive native planting plan is in place to see the peninsula’s flora and fauna being restored and thriving, several community orchards have also been planted, supplying residents with table grapes, figs, avocado, olives, apples and more.
These orchards dotted throughout the peninsula provide the canvas for learning, enjoyment and connection.
