Raglan - Things to do this Spring + Summer!

Spring is finally here in Raglan and the sun has been shining, people are back out in the surf, swimming in the low tide pools, and enjoying the daily coastal lifestyle. With the recent lockdown, we are appreciating what Raglan has to offer and are looking forward to the summer months ahead with days at the beach and swims in the ocean! It is an exciting time at Rangitahi with more new homes being completed, and the neighbourhood filling out with families moving in, working on their gardens, and enjoying life on the peninsula. We can't help but think ahead with lots of exciting things on this Summer in Raglan!

Let's hope the Covid situation doesn't affect our upcoming Summer plans... Stay Safe everyone!

Raglan Arts Weekend is on Labour weekend this year (23rd - 25th October 10-5pm). The arts weekend is all about artists opening up their studio spaces for visitors, you can meet them and check out their work. There are so many inspiring artists and have the opportunity to buy their work direct is an amazing opportunity for then artists and visitors! one of our favourites is Marise Rarere (featured above) be sure to view her colourful painterly prints and intricate hand drawn works. With a lot of people designing and building homes at the moment, there will be a fair few Rangitahi walls waiting to be filled with local artwork!

Check out the artists involved via this link.

The local Food truck Market, Evening Eats is back this Summer at the Raglan Rugby Club. The new season dates have just released and we couldn't be more excited for the deliciousness. We know we will be heading there for each of these markets with all of the delicious food and good vibes. The Summer dates start in 2022, Saturday 29 January, Saturday 26 February and Saturday 26 March. Head down to the rugby club 5 minutes walk from town and make the most of the balmy summer evenings and enjoy dinner on the fields with friends and family!

Nature in Raglan is here everyday for you to enjoy this summer! Get outdoors and make the most of it while the sun is shinning. The Rangitahi harbour track is somewhere we will be walking most mornings, enjoying the views, and a burst of nature before starting the day. The tracks are being extended over the summer, we cant wait to explore the new tracks! There are many tracks around Ngaranui Beach that lead to down to the beach, one of our fav is the track by the Christian camp on Wainui Road. Another is the Wainui Reserve gardens also accessed off Wainui Road.

Soundsplash is Raglan's annual summer music festival, if you have managed to secure tickets, it's sure to be a good time with lots of big names in the music industry attending year on year! The concert is held near Ngaranui beach in the Wainui Reserve natural amphitheatre on the 21st - 23rd January 2022.

Soundsplash always has awesome food trucks and is a family friendly event for all ages!
